William Flanagan - CEO
William Flanagan is the founder of the Tempus Group, and serves as its CEO. At Tempus, William leads the organization efforts with communications, Internet technology, non-profit, small business and governmental clients.
Prior to founding The Tempus Group, William was VP of Marketing at Cognio, a wireless technology software company, where he was responsible for leading the company’s product management and marketing efforts. At Cognio, his efforts combined with a fantastic executive team created the Enterprise Spectrum Assurance market, secured several OEMs of Cognio technology, scaled the business to an over $10 million run rate from no revenues, and ultimately drove acquisition of Cognio by Cisco, Inc. in October 2007.
Prior to joining Cognio, William was a founder and the Chief Strategy Officer of sentitO Networks, a venture-backed startup building carrier VoIP solutions. William has also held a number of positions at Tellabs/SALIX Technologies, Lucent/Ascend, and 3Com/Primary Access.
In addition to efforts with the Tempus Group, William actively works with the Taproot Foundation, a non-profit foundation focused on helping non-profit organizations gain access the marketing infrastructure they need to improve the human condition. In addition, William has worked with the National Science Foundation on market viability and strategy for prospective awards of Small Business Innovative Research program grants, a program that has awarded over $100 million in grants to small businesses.
William holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma and a MS in Information Architectures from the University of Texas.

Richard Ordin - Principal
Richard Ordin has over 20 years experience in communications technology. Having held senior sales roles in Fortune 500 companies and start-ups alike, Richard brings a unique blend of experience and success to our sales and marketing consulting team. He specializes in product positioning, sales strategies, and building revenue streams.
Prior to joining The Tempus Group, Richard was Director of Sales at Anagran, a Silicon-valley startup company, founded by Dr. Larry Roberts, specializing in flow routing technology. In charge of carrier and enterprise sales, Richard made the first sales in company history.
No stranger to consultative endeavors, Richard was previously a co-founder at Reflection Solutions, a company aimed at expanding small companies via eCommerce and web-based solutions, while also involved in VC fund raising and marketing consulting.
Richard also has experience in leading a start-up from the ground up, playing an integral role in Accelerated Networks’ successful IPO back in 2001. Tasked at penetrating and selling into competitive local carriers (CLEC’s), Richard was successful in selling an integrated multi-service access broadband solution to several large carriers in a highly competitive market space.
Richard has also held various senior sales positions at AT&T, Northern Telecom, GTE, Pulsecom, Mayan Networks, and Ceon Corporation. A graduate of UCLA in political science and economics, Richard lives in Southern California, is an avid sailor, and rotten at the game of golf.
